What DoneByExperts is

DoneByExperts is a marketplace that connects clients with independent experts for paid consultations, and a sourcing service that finds and vets experts on a client's behalf. We facilitate the booking and payment — the advice given during a session is between the client and the expert, and DoneByExperts is not a party to that professional relationship.

Fees & payment

Experts set their own hourly rate and keep 100% of it. Clients pay that rate plus a platform fee, shown in full before booking. For sourcing packages, the full package price is charged upfront when the request is submitted. All payments are processed by Stripe.

Sessions are booked for a fixed length. If a call runs past that length, the client's card on file is automatically charged for the additional time in 15-minute blocks (rounded up), at the same per-minute rate plus platform fee — no separate confirmation is requested for this additional charge, which is why a valid card on file is required to book.

Cancellations & refunds

Bookings can be cancelled within the grace period shown at checkout for a full refund. For sourcing packages, unused calls are either converted to credit or refunded depending on the circumstances — see your project page for details on a specific engagement.

Staying on the platform

Bookings, payments, and communication for any engagement that started through DoneByExperts should stay on the platform. This keeps both sides protected — payment security, dispute support, and the cancellation/refund guarantees above only apply to sessions booked and paid for here.

Accounts

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or misuse the platform.

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date above.
